Structural components:
Dial and pointers: The dial has uniform graduations, usually 1 mm per circle, divided into 100 small divisions, each representing 0.01 mm; the pointers are used to indicate the measurement value. The large pointer rotates one circle, and the small pointer (if present) rotates one division, which can expand the measurement range (such as 0 - 5 mm, 0 - 10 mm, etc.).
Measuring rod and probe: The measuring rod can extend and retract with the measured displacement, and the probe (mostly made of cemented carbide) contacts the workpiece to transmit displacement changes. Transmission mechanism: Internally, through transmission components such as gears and racks, the linear displacement of the measuring rod is converted into the angular displacement of the pointer to achieve accurate reading.
Functions and applications:
Used for workpiece dimensional inspection, such as measuring deviations in hole diameter and shaft diameter;
Detecting shape errors, such as flatness, roundness, and cylindricity;
Detecting positional errors, such as parallelism, perpendicularity, and coaxiality;

Provides stable support for the dial indicator, ensuring it maintains its measurement position under complex working conditions (such as machine tool processing and equipment maintenance); allows for flexible adjustment of the dial indicator's measurement angle and height to adapt to the measurement needs of different workpieces; widely used in machining, equipment maintenance, quality inspection, and other fields, it is a key auxiliary tool for dial indicators to achieve efficient and accurate measurements.
