When moving the caliper frame, do not forget to loosen the locking screw. Do not make it too loose to avoid dropping. When moving the caliper frame, it should move freely without being too loose or too tight, and there should be no shaking. When fixing the caliper frame with a locking screw, the readings of the caliper should not change.
When using the vernier caliper to measure objects, excessive force/pressure is not allowed. The pressure used should make the jaws just contact the surface of the objects. If the measuring pressure is too high, it will not only cause the jaws to wear , but also cause elastic deformation of the jaws under pressure, resulting in inaccurate measurement results (outer dimensions smaller than actual dimensions, inner dimensions larger than actual dimensions).
