Feature

The structure of a depth micrometer
The structure of a depth micrometer typically includes the following key components:
1. Measuring rod: extends into the hole or recess to measure the depth. it comes with different length, 0-300mm all workable
2. Base: provides a stable platform to support the micrometer and the object being measured.
3. Locking screw: when finish measurements, it can help you fixed measurement value
4. Fixed sleeves: houses the measuring rod and provides the main scale for reading measurements.
5. Thimble: Rotates to move the measuring rod in and out.
Clear scale line
As a precision micrometer depth gaueg manufacturer, we deeply that we have to make sure the scale is clear enough, for each items we will do four times laser engravings, efficiency leap Precision and stability, Clear markings make it easier for operators to read the measurements, especially in low-light conditions or over extended periods of use. This can help reduce eye strain and fatigue and it can use for a very long time

Metal locking screw devices
When you measure a object with the micrometer depth gauge, you read the numbers, you need to use this locking screw to help you stop at the correct position, otherwise if you touch it by mistake, you will have to measure it again, it also can help you reduce the errors of measurements, By locking the spindle, you prevent any accidental movement of the measuring rod, which can lead to measurement drift. This is particularly important in environments where vibrations or handling might affect the precision of the measurement.
Changeable measuring rods
For this precision depth micrometer, it have different size, 0-25mm/0-50mm/0-75mm/0-100mm/0-150mm/0-200mm/0-300mm, When you want to spend less and only purchase one depth micrometer, but you still need to measure objects of different depths, you can opt to buy additional measuring rods from us. We offer six different lengths: 25mm, 50mm, 75mm, 100mm, 125mm, and 150mm. You can easily switch out these measuring rods to measure the appropriate depth dimensions. This can significantly reduce your costs.

Besides the depth micrometer, we also can supply vernier calipers, it can supply four way measurement: outside/inside/step/depth,
It can meet your needs for measuring different parts.
FAQ
1. How to use a depth micrometer?
Before you use a depth micrometer, you have to know below points:
1). Clean the micrometer and the object, make sure that surface to be measured are clean, and select the suitable measuring rods to measure the depth length you need.
2). Zero the Micrometer, Place the micrometer on a flat, clean surface.
Turn the thimble until the measuring rod is fully retracted into the micrometer.
Adjust the zeroing screw (if available) to set the scale to zero. Ensure that the zero lines on both the sleeve and the thimble align perfectly.
3). Put the micrometer in a proper position on the objects, insert the measuring rod into the hole or recess, make sure it is perpendicular to the surface, use your hand to hold the base of the micrometer depth gauge, turn the thimble slowly in a clockwise direction until the tip of the rod is in the bottom of the hole or recess
4). After you put the correct position, you need to lock the spindle, and using the locking device to secure the measurement.
Carefully remove the micrometer from the object.
2. What is the different between depth micrometer and digital depth micrometer?
1). From design: it's total different version, analog and digital model
Analog deoth gaueg: it has a screw-driven thimble with an engraved sleeve and scale. The construction is purely mechanical,
The measurement is reading by the scale line only, read the number from sleeve, thimble
Digital depth gauge: It comes with a screw-driven spindle with an clear LCD screen, buttons for zeroing, unit conversion,
The measurement is directly displayed on the screen, making it easy and quick to get the data of the measurements
2). From Usability:
Mechanical Depth Micrometer"
Skill Requirement: Requires trained operators to interpret the readings accurately.
Measurement Process: The process of taking and reading measurements is slower, making it less suitable for high-volume production environments.
Digital Depth Micrometer:
Ease of Use: Easy to use, even for untrained operators, as the measurement is instantly displayed on the screen.
Efficiency: More efficient for repetitive depth measuring tasks in production settings,
reducing the time required for each measurement.
3). From Application:
Mechanical Depth Micrometer:
Preferred Environments: Preferred in environments where robustness and mechanical reliability are essential, such as toolrooms and inspection labs.
Suitability: Suitable for situations where there is no power supply or in harsh environments where electronics may be affected.
Digital Depth Micrometer:
Ideal Scenarios: Ideal for quality control and high-volume production where quick, error-free depth measuring is needed.
Integration: Integrates well with modern data systems, allowing for efficient data collection and analysis.
