Thumb Screw Vernier Caliper

Before taking measurements, the caliper should be wiped clean and check the measuring surfaces are undamaged. The two jaws are tightly fitted together without obvious gap. At the same time, the zero graduation lines of the vernier and main ruler should be aligned with each other.

1)Accuracy:

If you have extremely high accuracy requirements, such as precision machining, electronic component manufacturing, jewelry…… etc., then digital caliper is recommended. The accuracy of Digital calipers is 0.01mm and can reduce human reading errors. For general handicrafts or daily use which the accuracy requirements are relatively not so high, then vernier caliper may be a better choice. The accuracy is generally 0.02mm or 0.05mm.

2)Measurement range:

If you often measure small objects, choose caliper 150MM is enough. Small size is more convenient to carry and operate. If you need to measure larger objects, such as pipes, large mechanical parts…… etc., then you need to choose a caliper with a larger measurement range, such as 0-500MM or even larger. The maximum measurement range which we can supply is 0-3000MM.

3)Use environment

If the caliper is used in a humid or dusty environment, then we suggest to choose a caliper with waterproof or dustproof, such as IP54 and IP67. If the caliper is used in a dim environment, a digital caliper with a backlit display will be more convenient for reading.
